On July 2, 2009 I joined Shriners patients, the citizens of Spokane and Senator Maria Cantwell at a press conference urging Shriners International to spare the Spokane Shriners Hospital from closure.  More pictures are here.

The possible closure of the Spokane Shriners Hospital would significantly limit access to specialized health care in our area. Absence of this facility would devastate the children and families who rely on the care and generosity of the specialized care offered at this hospital.
