Military Families Are Mission Critical

Supporting our military families is a top priority of mine because the strength of our military is drawn from the strength of our military families. As many of us in Eastern Washington know, when someone joins the military, it is truly a family decision, and our military families face unique challenges that require important conversations.

Every year, as Co-Chairs of the Congressional Military Family Caucus, Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr. (D-GA) and I host the annual Military Family Summit. The summit brings together service members and their families with Department of Defense officials and military family support organizations to discuss the most pressing issues facing military families today – namely pay and benefits, community integration and transition, and the health and well-being of families and children.

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, our summit will once again be held in person at Fairchild Air Force Base in Eastern Washington! All Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve service members and their families from all branches are welcome to join. You can find more information below or reach out to my office for more details.
