H. Con. Res 11 Establishing the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2021 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2022 through 2030 NO This resolution puts us on the path towards a completely partisan approach to COVID-19 relief. Last year, we upheld the rich history of bipartisan work when it comes to addressing national crises. I am disappointed my colleagues have decided to abandon that bipartisan spirit this time around.

H. Res. 72 Removing a certain Member from standing committees of the House of Representatives NO This measure is an unprecedented power grab by Congressional  Democrats. I completely disagree and disavow many of the statements and videos that have come out about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. I also believe it sets a dangerous precedent to allow members of the opposing party to hand down punishments that impact an elected representative’s ability to serve their constituents based on statements that were made prior to being elected. I hope Rep. Taylor Greene takes that seriously and considers the impact her words have as a representative of her constituents and the People’s House.

H. Res. 101 Providing for the adoption of the concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 5) setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2021 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2022 through 2030 NO This resolution puts us on the path towards a completely partisan approach to COVID-19 relief. Last year, we upheld the rich history of bipartisan work when it comes to addressing national crises. I am disappointed my colleagues have decided to abandon that bipartisan spirit this time around.

H.R. 447 National Apprenticeship Act of 2021 NO This bill doubles down on the one-size-fits-all federally registered apprenticeship system while doing nothing to support Industry Recognized Apprenticeship Programs. We should empower employers to innovate and develop their own apprenticeship programs, not hamstring them. While the registered apprenticeship system does serve a purpose, it shouldn’t be the only option. Employers need the flexibility to train a new workforce and meet the needs of our economy.
