AM Radio Matters to Eastern Washington

I don’t have to tell you how important AM radio is to people in Eastern Washington. It’s how we hear the news, listen to sports, get weather forecasts, and receive information during emergencies – especially in our most rural communities where FM radio is spotty and broadband access is limited.

Unfortunately, many car manufacturers are removing AM radios from their new electric vehicle models over battery interference concerns. This is especially concerning given the Biden administration’s rush to green agenda, which Governor Jay Inslee has fully embraced.

The bottom line is that AM radio continues to be a popular way for people across the country to stay connected, and I’m going to continue leading to make sure your access is protected.
