Biden’s EV Waiver Hypocrisy

During his first week in office, President Biden signed an executive order to make sure taxpayer dollars are used to “support American workers and businesses.” You might be thinking that’s a good thing, right? Well, it would be … if it were true.

While the Biden administration touts cleverly named initiatives and slogans like “Made In America,” they don’t want you to see what’s really going on behind the scenes. For example, under a new rule proposed by the EPA, the administration can waive its own Made In America rules to pursue their rush-to-green agenda.

In other words, they want to send your tax dollars to our foreign adversaries like China to pay for the critical minerals and materials they need to build new electric vehicle chargers that could be made – cleaner, safer, and more efficient – right here in America.

The hypocrisy is astounding and unacceptable, which is why I voted to BLOCK this ridiculous proposal in the House this week. My message to President Biden is this: It’s time to put “Made In America” first all the time, not just when it’s convenient for your agenda.
