Border Security is National Security

Immigration Reform

Last night, I voted to secure our southern border.

Under President Biden’s failed leadership, the immigration crisis has gotten totally out of control. There have been more than 6 million illegal crossings since he took office. That’s 6,110 every single day!

This invasion has to stop, which is why I helped pass legislation to finally give law enforcement at the southern border the resources they need to keep us safe, including:

  • $2 billion to build the wall
  • $655 million to remove immigrants here illegally
  • Funding to hire 22,000 border patrol agents

We cannot allow this crisis to get any worse. Border security is national security, and it’s well-past time we start treating it that way. This vote was a step in the right direction, but there’s more work to be done. Rest assured that I’ll be here to see it through.
