Celebrating the Girl Scouts of America
Growing up in a rural community, the Girl Scouts helped give me the courage to dream big and taught me some of the skills I needed to make my dreams a reality – and I’m not alone. For 111 years now, the Girl Scouts have encouraged young girls across America to live courageously, follow their hearts, see their own potential, and be risk takers.
That’s why I reintroduced a bipartisan resolution to recognize the organization for their many years of service, congratulate all the young girls who earned the Gold Award in 2022, and encourage them to champion their ambitions, nurture creativity, and most importantly support the talents of future women leaders.
As a leader of Troop Capitol Hill, I’m proud to show appreciation to the Girl Scouts – today and every day – for their commitment to empowering the next generation of women to rise up and be bold leaders in everything they do.
