Congratulations to New Eagle Scouts
Five young men were presented Eagle Scout Awards at a ceremony in Rosalia last week.
There were over 100 people in attendance to watch the five receive the highest rank in the Boy Scouts. A representative of my office attended, and reports these five young men actually started in first grade as Tiger Scouts. Now, years later, they have attained the rank of Eagle Scout together at age 18.
The last time five achieved Eagle Rank at the same time in the Chief Kamiaken District was in 1987. Troop #588 includes the Colfax, Pullman, Moscow, and Washtucna regions.
To be sure, there are a number of fine young men who attain the rank of Eagle Scout annually in Eastern Washington. But this is truly remarkable, as all five are from the same area, and attaining the rank at the same time! Please join me in recognizing their achievement, and congratulating Eastern Washington’s newest Eagle Scouts. They are:
Casey Brown
Tom Carrothers
Jared Hereford
