Conversations with Cathy: Jan 20, 21, 22
Earlier this week, President Obama gave his last State of the Union address. For me, it really highlighted the important choice we as Americans face this year.
This year, we can choose to reject a future driven by the President’s “government-knows-best” legacy, and instead choose a future driven by bold ideas that will empower people and give every American greater opportunities.
There’s no question, the American people are frustrated by the way government is working. Believe me: I’m frustrated, too.
More and more decisions are being made by the President, the Executive Branch, or the Judicial Branch, and they are decisions that don’t reflect the will of the people.
We need to rethink government from the top down. Americans should be trusted to make their own decisions, and — as your voice in the People’s House — that’s a top priority of mine.
Together, we are partners in creating solutions, from the bottom up, for Eastern Washington and the rest of this great country.
That’s why I want to hear from you directly. Please join me at one of my Conversation with Cathy town hall events next week. The times and locations are listed below.
