Is the Southern Border Open or Closed?

Immigration Reform

If you’ve turned on the TV lately, you’ve probably seen two things – 1) the chaos taking place at our southern border, and 2) the Biden administration trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

According to President Biden, “We’ve now gotten control” of the crisis. Vice President Kamala Harris wants you to know she’s confident “we have a secure border.” If you ask the president’s press secretary, she’ll assure you that “the border is not open.”

But the facts paint a very different picture.

Since President Biden took office, there have been more than 3.8 million illegal border crossings, including dozens of known terrorists. Fentanyl, which is now the leading cause of death for 18-45 year-old Americans, is pouring into our country at historic levels. The worst part? Democrats don’t have a plan to stop it.

President Biden is in denial about the extent of this crisis. Our border is not secure. It’s time to end failed policies like “catch and release,” eliminate the welfare incentives driving illegal immigration in the first place, and finally secure our southern border – before it’s too late.
