It’s Time to Fix the Backlog of Veterans’ Record Requests

Veterans

You might remember that in December 2020 I fought to secure $15 million in emergency funding to solve the growing backlog of requests for veteran personnel records. It’s now been over a year, and more than half a million veterans are still waiting to receive their documentation required to access the benefits they earned serving our country.

I’ve heard from countless veterans in Eastern Washington about this, and I share their frustration. Despite Congress taking action to address this growing crisis, President Biden refuses to act. That’s why I just sent another letter – my fourth since this problem started – demanding the president take action to immediately eliminate the records request backlog.

The bottom line is simple: these delays are unacceptable and cannot be tolerated a day longer. Veterans in Eastern Washington deserve better than this, and I’ll keep fighting to make sure they get it!

Biden’s ‘Ministry of Truth’ on Pause

Did you see the good news? President Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board (a.k.a. the Ministry of Truth) has officially been put on hold. From the beginning, I have fought President Biden’s […]

Price Controls Are Not The Answer

Americans are paying record high prices at the pump. In Washington State, the average price of gas soared to a shocking $5.18 a gallon in May. But what’s driving these prices to such devastating heights? Since their efforts to blame the price hike squarely on Putin’s invasion of Ukraine (even though prices were rising well […]
