McMorris Rodgers: “I’m grateful to our community leaders and first-responders for joining our discussion on wildfire preparedness. We all must work together to use the resources we have to fight.

Note: McMorris Rodgers has been involved in ongoing efforts to promote healthy, actively managed forests and working hard to fix the budgetary constraints within the Forest Service, including “fire borrowing” practices. Last December, in the omnibus funding legislation, the Congresswoman helped to secure $4.2 billion for wildfire fighting and prevention programs, $670 million above the 2015 level, including $1 billion in a firefighting reserve fund to further assist in combating “fire borrowing”.
