Keeping Innovation Open and Free
“From digital ad agencies in Spokane to wine growers in Walla Walla, the Internet is crucial in facilitating the ideas exchange so important to American economic growth and innovation.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 235, the Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act.
“From digital ad agencies in Spokane to wine growers in Walla Walla, the Internet is crucial in facilitating the ideas exchange so important to American economic growth and innovation. Today’s passage of the Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act (PITFA) will keep the Internet affordable for all Americans and ban Internet access taxes permanently. I encourage my colleagues in the Senate to act quickly on this legislation and help keep the Internet tax-free.”
