IMPEACHMENT:
“The constitutional responsibility of the Senate is to do the trial, and the investigation takes place in the House. That is the responsibility of the House, and the House rushed it through. Now, we continue to see calls for witnesses.”
“From the very beginning this has been more of a partisan attempt to take out this president and overturn the 2016 election.”
USMCA:
“This is long overdue. Speaker Pelosi took way too long. It was ready to go a year ago but it’s better late than never.”
“The trade we do with Canada and Mexico is so important. So is the work President Trump has done to be strong on China. He’s done more than any other administration.”
CORONAVIRUS:
“Fortunately, its limited cases so far in America. We’ve been taking this seriously. We’ve been doing the screenings. Clearly you see what’s going on in China, and it is frightening. We need transparency from China, and we need to know what their plan is to control this virus.”
THE PRESIDENT’S DEAL WITH CHINA:
“This president has been tougher on China than any other administration. [This deal with China] needed to happen. Phase One was an important step, especially for our farmers and our businesses that are doing business in China, but we need to get to Phase Two. We need to address the intellectual property rights. We need to address how China is sponsoring the state enterprises and making them beholden [to the communist government], like Huawei.”
