Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) released the following statement after President Donald Trump signed the Fiscal Year 2019 Energy and Water, Legislative Branch, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act into law.

“President Trump just signed a critical appropriations measure into law to provide needed resources for our veterans and military. To make sure the red carpet is rolled out for all those who have served, this law will provide for the largest dollar amount for the VA in history. This historic funding will support the reforms we’ve made to improve care, cut wait times, and boost accountability in the VA health care system. To enhance our national security, this legislation also provides funds to rebuild our military infrastructure, invest in our nuclear technology, and strengthen America’s electrical grid. For a safer and stronger America, these are the solutions we promised to deliver. As a result, people are Better Off Now.”
