McMorris Rodgers Statement Remembering Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

Washington, D.C. – Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) released the following statement honoring U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, who passed away today.

“My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. She served in the U.S. House of Representatives with distinction and passion for nearly 30 years. Although we had different political opinions and backgrounds, I’m grateful for the friendship we built on a foundation of faith. We would often unite in prayer in my office, on the House floor, and over the phone — building trust between us at a time when nothing else would. They were the best meetings of the day, and I’ll miss them dearly. May her memory be a blessing.”
