Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s decision in Whole Women’s Health v. Hellerstedt.

“America is the place where everyone is empowered to pursue their version of the American Dream,” said McMorris Rodgers. “That begins with prioritizing the safety of the American people, especially women, above profit or political victories.

“In an industry where convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell’s horrific practices flew under the radar for years, the dangerous acceptance of abortion on demand — with no restrictions — needs to be taken seriously. This is about protecting women. I have long supported and will continue to support legislation to ensure our laws protect the dignity of every woman in this country.”
