WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) worked with Governor Inslee to clarify the impact of his orders in the state on Eastern Washington religious institutions.

“After hearing from more than 200 pastors, rabbis, and imams across the state, I asked Governor Inslee for clarification on whether his stay-at-home order would limit staffing and keep religious institutions from performing the rites of their respective holy days,” said McMorris Rodgers. “In response to my request, the Governor clarified in his Thursday press conference that religious institutions and churches ‘can have a certain number of people present at their places of worship to ensure that online remote services can be afforded to their flocks.’ Thank you to Governor Inslee for understanding the needs of our religious institutions and for working to clarify the impact of your order.”
