WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05), Chair of the House Republican Conference, released the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 3350, the Keep Your Health Plan Act, which allows providers to continue to offer health plans that had been terminated as a result of the President’s health care law.

“Health care is not a political issue; it’s a personal issue.  Nearly 300,000 people in Washington state alone have received notices that their health insurance plans have been cancelled. These are hardworking Americans who are struggling because of Obamacare.  Today’s strong bipartisan vote was to help the millions of Americans – our friends and neighbors – who  have been told they will lose their health insurance despite the President’s repeated promise that they could keep it.  We call on the Senate to pass this legislation quickly, and hold the President accountable to his promise.”
