Washington, DC – Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05), Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference, welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Capitol Hill today as part of the bipartisan Escort Committee. The Prime Minister met privately with Rep. McMorris Rodgers and other Members before speaking to a joint session of Congress.

“Like most of my colleagues, I was stirred by the Prime Minister’s passionate, well-articulated defense of Israel’s right to exist and the vital importance of the US-Israeli partnership,” said Rep. McMorris Rodgers. “After today’s speech, I am even more committed to working with my colleagues to strengthen the friendship between America and Israel.”
