McMorris Works to Provide Veterans with Quality Health Care
(Washington, D.C.) Congresswoman Cathy McMorris (WA-05) issued the following statement today in response to the Capital Asset Realignment for Enhanced Services (CARES) Commission’s Business Plan Study for the Walla Walla VA Medical Center:
“My top priority is ensuring that our veterans receive the best health care possible. It is in the best interest of the veterans that the VA Medical Center remains in Walla Walla and I am continuing to work with other members of the Northwest delegation to find a solution that will adequately address the health care needs of our veterans.”
“The recommendations released today by the CARES Commission to the Local Advisory Panel provide us with options for the future of the Walla Walla VA Medical Center. I want to spend the next few months looking into all the options to determine how we can best serve the veterans in the region. I encourage the public to provide the Commission with feedback on the best options available for the facility on its website at www.va.gov/cares.”
