H.R. 1836
Guard and Reserve GI Bill Parity Act
Passed | 287-135
My Vote | NO (the Congressional record reflects my opposition to this bill)
At a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult for our branches of service to recruit active duty forces, I do not believe now is the time to make major reforms to GI Bill benefits. I supported a proposal that would have allowed Guard and Reserve members to accrue more times towards their GI bill benefit, but this proposal was voted down by House Democrats.

H.R. 5746
NASA Enhanced Use Leasing Extension Act/John R. Lewis Act
Passed | 220-203
My Vote | NO (the Congressional record reflects my opposition to this bill)
House Democrats used a bill meant to reauthorize NASA programs to give the Senate the opportunity to bypass the Senate filibuster and federalize elections. I voted against this stunt.
