H. Res. 965 Authorizing remote voting by proxy in the House of Representatives and providing for official remote committee proceedings during a public health emergency due to a novel coronavirus, and for other purposes NO This legislation authorizes the unconstitutional practice of proxy voting, where one Representative can submit multiple votes in the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives has already changed its procedures to enable social distancing while voting. There’s no reason to allow proxy voting. Members of Congress shouldn’t consider themselves above showing up in person to do essential work.

H.R. 6800 The Heroes Act NO The HEROES Act is a $3 Trillion partisan wish list with no chance of becoming law.

It includes a tax cut to blue state billionaires by repealing the State and Local tax deductions. It gives economic impact payments to illegal immigrants and funding for sanctuary cities. It authorizes $50 million in ‘environmental justice grants.’ None of these assist our nation in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
