NFIB Presents McMorris Rodgers with Guardian of Small Business Award
Washington, DC –Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference, was honored today by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) and presented with their Guardian of Small Business Award for supporting policies that will help this critical sector of our economy grow and create jobs.
“I am proud to accept the NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business Award,” said Rep. McMorris Rodgers. “The NFIB is the leading voice for America’s small business community, and I’ve enjoyed working with them on shared priorities, including lower taxes, stopping harmful regulations, increasing workplace flexibility, and preserving the secret ballot for workers.”
Guardian awards are given to U.S. Senators and Members of Congress who vote favorably on key small business issues at least 70% of the time.
The NFIB is the leading small business association representing small and independent businesses. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB represents the consensus views of its members in Washington, D.C. and all 50 state capitals.
