Watch the full interview here, and make sure you take a moment to catch this full recap of 2015. Following are excerpts from her interview with KXLY 4:

“[Our focus] continues to be on budget, on spending, bringing down the debt and the deficit. But also I am hopeful that we can do a tax bill. We need tax reform. I think it’s one of the best things that we could do to get our economy growing. We have the highest corporate tax rate right now in the world, and it impacts the economic activity in this country. So tax reform, we are going to do some more on health care, and rethinking our poverty programs.

“Our Speaker, Paul Ryan, really wants us to do more to provide the support necessary to those who are in poverty, but within the federal government there are so many programs and it’s time to rethink those programs so that we can get better results.”
