President Biden Continues to Drain America’s SPR

In case you haven’t heard, President Biden has been exporting oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) in a desperate attempt to ease the pain of rising energy costs resulting from his war on American energy. To date, he has sold almost 250 million barrels—nearly 40 percent of the stockpile—while in office. This is more than all the U.S. presidents in history combined, and it’s depleted our SPR to the lowest level it has been since 1984

What’s worse, thanks to President Biden selling our reserve oil to the Chinese Communist Party, China now controls the world’s largest government owned stockpile. At the same time, he is begging foreign dictatorships like Venezuela for oil to replenish our reserves, rather than increasing production here at home!

This is outrageous. The entire purpose of America’s strategic reserves is to keep our country powered during emergencies, not to sell off when the Democrats’ rush to green policies makes everything unaffordable. The Biden administration has some explaining to do, which is why I sent them a letter demanding accountability for draining the SPR to historic lows and how they plan to refill what they wrongfully took.
