Price Transparency Is The Key
Did you know more than 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck? That means they are just one medical bill away from a financial emergency. One doctor visit away from not being able to pay their rent, feed their kids, or put gas in the tank.
We need to drive down the cost of health care in America, and it starts with price transparency. Patients shouldn’t be in the dark when it comes to their health care bills. That’s why I led a hearing this week to explore how bringing transparency to health care pricing is key to driving down costs. Watch:

For a more secure and healthier future, people need certainty and stability. They need to be able to shop around for health care and plan ahead for the cost. Yesterday’s discussion was a great start towards achieving that goal, and I am excited about the bipartisan progress to come.
