Protecting American Agriculture
America’s adversaries are doing everything they can to disrupt our supply chains and undermine our national security. It started with the Chinese Communist Party purchasing thousands of acres of farmland in the United States, and I have serious concerns about Russia following a similar playbook.
Food security is national security. That’s why I helped pass the No Russian Agriculture Act last Friday to protect America’s farmers and our agricultural supply chains from foreign influence. This important legislation builds on my bill to block China from purchasing American farmland and make sure your family’s food makes it from farm to table safely.
This is a big step to take, but our fight is far from over. Rest assured that I will always have the back of Eastern Washington’s farmers and ranchers at every turn, especially when it comes to combating foreign influence in our supply chains.
