Pumping the Brakes on Biden’s EV Mandate

President Biden’s rush to green agenda is failing.

Just last week, nearly 4,000 auto dealers sent a letter to President Biden urging him to stop his EV mandates. They said demand isn’t there and EVs are just sitting on their lots. What’s worse is that the administration has allocated billions of dollars for EV charging stations, yet not a single charger has come online as a result.

All this failed centralized planning is shipping our auto-future and jobs to China. This is not the future Americans want or deserve. That’s why I helped lead and pass the CARS Act, which would block President Biden’s tailpipe emissions standard that is taking away people’s vehicle choice and handing the keys to America’s auto future to China.

For more than a century, affordable transportation has helped drive America’s economic success. Our cars have allowed people in the U.S. and around the world to increase their mobility and raise our standard of living. The CARS Act will ensure that legacy of leadership and prosperity continues in America for generations to come.
