Spokane Valley, Wash. – Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) yesterday hosted a town hall event and toured the Honeywell Facility in Spokane Valley. Details and photos from these public events, as well as a preview of today’s schedule, are below.

Touring the Honeywell Facility

Cathy started her day at the Honeywell facility in Spokane Valley where she was given a walking tour to see the innovative manufacturing process on the floor and hear about the ways the facility is creating high-skill and high-paying jobs in Eastern Washington. The Honeywell facility is going above and beyond in advancing manufacturing in the region and increasing U.S. competitiveness in the global semiconductor industry.

Hearing From the People of Spokane Valley

Following her tour of the Honeywell facility, Cathy hosted a “Conversations with Cathy” town hall – her seventh of the year – at the Centerplace Regional Event Center to hear from the people of Spokane Valley. The majority of the conversation was centered around preventing any future roll out of the Oracle Cerner Electronic Health Record System, unleashing domestic energy to end America’s reliance on foreign adversaries for oil, and utilizing hydropower to reduce carbon emissions. Cathy also answered questions on health care price transparency and the dangers of TikTok, two issues she recently held hearings on as Chair of the Energy and Commerce Committee.

Today’s Event Schedule

Today, Cathy will be in Spokane and has released the following schedule of events for planning purposes only. Photos and readouts will be distributed following the events.
