The Future of Telehealth in Eastern Washington

The COVID-19 pandemic showed us just how crucial telehealth access truly is, especially in rural areas of Eastern Washington. It brought doctors right into families’ living rooms, and it proved to be a game-changing innovation for patients living in hard to reach places.

In case you missed it, I joined Axios last week to discuss the impact telehealth has had on our communities, how we can build on this progress to improve health care delivery, and what Congress is planning in the new year. You can watch the full interview here:

All in all, expanding on the success of telehealth would be a big win for the American people. I’m looking forward to 2023 and the beginning of the new congress so I can get to work on building a permanent structure around telehealth as Chairwoman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
