The WHO Pandemic Agreement is Flawed
Right now, the World Health Organization (WHO) – the same agency that failed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and attempted to cover up China’s involvement in the pandemic – is negotiating a new agreement or “treaty” that would define each country’s responsibilities for pandemic preparedness, prevention, and response.
This is alarming to say the least. The good news is that WHO’s International Health Regulations clearly state that the WHO has no policing or enforcement authority over its member countries. In other words, the WHO cannot supersede the laws of the United States or your constitutional rights.
With that said, there must be no ambiguity around the legally binding nature of any potential WHO agreement. That’s why I’m working hard to make sure the final text preserves American self-governance above all outside influence. Here’s what I’m fighting for:
The bottom line is that I do not support the draft pandemic agreement as it currently stands. There are significant changes that must be made before the United States even considers agreeing to it. I will continue making this clear to President Biden and keep you updated.
