Transition Information

It’s been the honor and privilege of my life to represent the people of Eastern Washington in Congress. For years now, my team and I have lived and worked by our values of having fun while we SERVE — to Seek excellence, that Everybody matters, to Responsibly own it, practice Vigilant integrity, and Embrace change.

As my time in Congress comes to a close, my goal is to ensure you and your family continue to receive the level of customer service you deserve. Please see below for a list of key dates and important information about office operations during this transition period.

Office Locations and Operations
In order to prepare for the next elected representative for Washington’s Fifth Congressional District to take office, our current locations will be closing permanently according to the following schedule:

  • Washington, D.C. – November 21, 2024
  • Colville – CLOSED
  • Walla Walla – CLOSED
  • Spokane – December 18, 2024

Contacting Our Office
Due to limited staff and office operations, the phones in the Washington, D.C. and Eastern Washington offices will be automatically forwarded to voicemail beginning on November 21, 2024. Messages will be regularly monitored and a staff member will be in touch as soon as possible to assist with your request.

You may continue to contact the office until January 2, 2025 by submitting the form on our website by clicking here.

Meeting Requests
The last day to meet with me or my staff will be December 19, 2024, which is the last day Congress is scheduled to be in session this year. Meeting requests may be submitted on our website by clicking here. When making a request, please clearly include the topic and attendees, as well as when and where you are hoping to meet (Washington, D.C. or Spokane). This will allow a member of our staff to follow up with availability in a timely fashion.

Flag Requests
The last day to purchase a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol through our office is November 15, 2024. You may do so by clicking here.

Tour Requests
The last day to request a tour through our office is December 20, 2024. Due to the new Congress beginning on January 3, 2025, our office will not be able to assist with any tours for 2025.

2025 Presidential Inauguration Tickets
The office of Washington’s Fifth Congressional District will receive a limited number of tickets to share with guests. This allotment will be divided between Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Representative-elect Michael Baumgartner, and disbursement will be determined through a lottery based on requests received. Constituents of Washington’s Fifth Congressional District may request tickets by clicking here.
