H.Res. 296 | Affirming the United States record on the Armenian Genocide | YES | This resolution acknowledges the Armenian Genocide and rejects denial efforts. |

PASSED |
H.R. 1373 | Grand Canyon Centennial Protection Act | NO | If we want to continue to advance innovative climate solutions and technology, we must have access to the minerals and exotic metals needed for that technology. Whether it’s the metals needed for clean energy solutions, electric car batteries, or other 21st Century technology, it requires us utilizing our natural resources to make it happen. H.R. 1373, H.R. 2181, and H.R. 823, while well intentioned, go too far. Harming local communities, permanently banning resource collection, and taking away more nearly 2 million acres is not a well-balanced approach. |

SUSPENSION BILLS
**A suspension bill is a bill passed by the House through suspending the rules to move quickly, circumventing the House Rules Committee. Suspension bills are typically less controversial pieces of legislation, and as the rules are being suspended, they require a higher threshold, two-thirds of those voting in the House, to pass. Additionally, these bills are often passed by a voice vote, without a formal roll call vote.
