Standing with Israel

Happy Yom Ha’atzmaut to our friends and strongest allies in Israel!

On this day 75 years ago, Israel became the first democracy in the Middle East. Each day since, they have stood tall for freedom and democracy while demonstrating their unwavering commitment to faith.

These common ideals are woven into the fabric of the partnership between our two nations. Together, we have made great progress towards lasting peace in the region, and we are just getting started.

Last night, I was proud to join my colleagues in the House to pass a resolution commemorating Israel’s 75 years of independence and reaffirming our shared commitment to the Abraham Accords. My hope is this piece of legislation will help encourage other nations in the Middle East to normalize relations with Israel and join us in our pursuit to foster a future of peace and prosperity across the region.

As we join our Israeli friends in celebrating this historic day, let us reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made and remember the work still before us. Here’s to the next 75 years of tradition, friendship, and partnership between our two nations!
