Standing with Israel

During my time in Congress, I have had the opportunity to visit Israel on several occasions. These visits reaffirmed to me the special relationship the United States and Israel share. We are partners in national defense, technology, agricultural innovation, democracy, freedom of religion, and many other areas. The people of Israel want nothing more than to live in peace with their neighbors—unfortunately, too many of whom do not share this interest.   

I am a strong supporter and advocate for the nation of Israel, and I support its need to defend itself from terrorist organizations like Hamas. I believe that we must do whatever we can to reassure Israel and its residents that the United States stands firmly behind them.
