Fighting to Protect Pregnancy Centers
Pregnancy centers in Washington state and across the country are under attack. The violence on these safe havens for mothers is reprehensible and only endangers and intimidates the women who depend on them for critical medical care, education, and other resources.
I firmly believe all extreme and hateful acts of violence should be condemned, which is why I’m helping lead the Protect Pregnancy Care Act to hold President Biden accountable for his failure to respond to this threat with the urgency it deserves. Specifically, this bill will require the Biden administration to publicly disclose how it is handling the investigation and prosecution of activists who attack pregnancy resource centers across the country.
My goal is to save as many lives as possible, support mothers and babies at all stages of life, and help foster an environment where no woman facing an unplanned pregnancy feels like their only option is abortion. Pregnancy care centers do critical work to help advance these goals too. I’m proud to support these facilities.
