McMorris Rodgers, Bishop Announce 2022 Military Family Summit at Fairchild Air Force Base
Washington, D.C. – Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) and Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Co-Chairs of the Congressional Military Family Caucus (CMFC), announced the annual Congressional Military Family Caucus Summit will be held at Fairchild Air Force Base on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM PT.
“As many of us in Eastern Washington know, our military families face unique challenges that require important conversations,” said Rodgers. “That’s why each year, Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr. and I host the Military Family Summit to discuss the most pressing issues facing America’s military families today – then we go to work on their behalf. I’m so looking forward to this year’s summit, and I hope to see many military families there for what I’m confident will prove to be a rewarding experience for everyone.”
The Congressional Military Family Caucus Summit will bring together military families with Members of Congress and their staffs, officials from the Department of Defense, and personnel from numerous military family support organizations to discuss critical issues impacting America’s service members and their families. The summit will also explore the challenges service members and military families face surrounding spousal employment, education surrounding grades K-12, and children with special needs.
The CMFC is a bipartisan congressional caucus that educates elected officials, congressional staffers, senior military leaders, and the public on a wide range of unique issues that affect military families.
