McMorris Rodgers, House Abraham Accords Caucus Celebrate 3-Year Anniversary of Historic Accords Signing
Washington, D.C. – Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) and Abraham Accords Caucus Co-Chairs Brad Schneider (IL-10), David Trone (MD-06), and Ann Wagner (MO-02) introduced a resolution commemorating the third anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords. The resolution highlights the progress made since the signing of the Accords and encourages further deepening and broadening of the Accords across new countries.
“Three years ago, the United States made historic progress towards achieving peace in the Middle East with the signing of the Abraham Accords Declaration,” said Rodgers. “This long sought-after agreement marked the beginning of a new journey together in pursuit of creating a better, safer, and more prosperous world for our children and grandchildren. It is an honor to join my co-chairs of the Abraham Accords Caucus in introducing this resolution to celebrate its anniversary and reaffirm our commitment to go above and beyond to make this world a place where all can enjoy a life of dignity and hope.”
“The Abraham Accords have reshaped relations in the Middle East, forging bonds between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco. These historic agreements marked a shift towards peace and prosperity,” said Schneider. “I am proud that we marked the third anniversary with so many representatives from Abraham Accords countries, from young leaders to ambassadors, and with leaders from across government and civil society. We remain unwavering in our dedication to deepening and broadening the Accords, building bridges, and creating opportunities for peace that will resonate around the world.”
To mark the third anniversary, Cathy joined the Atlantic Council and Jeffrey M. Talpins Foundation for a discussion on regional developments and opportunities between Israel and Arab and Muslim countries, featuring government officials and representatives from across civil society.
"I can say with confidence that we've made great progress, thanks to the tremendous work of international partners like the @AtlanticCouncil, and the work of my colleagues on the Abraham Accords caucus" explains @cathymcmorris.

NOTE: The Abraham Accord Caucus was launched in 2022 by Cathy and Reps. Schneider, Trone, and Wagner – along with a bipartisan group of Senators – to provide an opportunity for Members of Congress to help strengthen the agreements of current Abraham Accords countries and help lay the groundwork to expand to new countries that do not currently have diplomatic relations with Israel.
