After talking about her own journey to becoming a mother to three children, including her son with Down syndrome, Cathy said:
“Our country needs hope. America needs hope and healing. Abortion doesn’t bring hope or healing. There is a despair that has come over our country. Do you know what despair is? It’s a complete lack of hope. It’s hopelessness.
“I urge my colleagues to reconsider this legislation.”
Yesterday before today’s hearing, Cathy also shared her pro-life story of becoming a mom. CLICK HERE or below to read and share her not-to-be-missed thread.
Excerpts:
If you know me, you know my #prolife story. Maybe you read it in 2018, when I responded to an opinion in the @washingtonpost that said lives of people with #Downsyndrome weren’t worth living.
I’m telling my story AGAIN bc the value & dignity of all life is STILL under attack…

That changed in my first term when I met Brian. We got married and became pregnant shortly after. Three kids later, I can testify today that becoming a mom has been the best thing to have happened in my life. The absolute best thing.

Again, the Left is promoting a bill tomorrow that lifts limits on abortions at nearly any stage of pregnancy and for any reason, including for babies with Down syndrome. It’s sad.
Is this the future we want for America? Who will stand up and say enough?
