McMorris’ Statement on Proposed Job Cuts at Fairchild

(Washington, D.C.)  Congresswoman Cathy McMorris (WA-05) released the following statement regarding proposed job cuts at Fairchild Air Force Base:

"My top priority continues to be protecting and expanding the mission at Fairchild Air Force Base. I recognize the importance of having a more mobile, unified and joint force for the future of the U.S. Military. The people who serve at Fairchild are extremely qualified and experienced. They are valuable members of our community and play a vital role in our national security efforts. I am hopeful that any reduction in personnel can be done through voluntary means and that the Air Force will be able to find a place for the men and women at Fairchild, even if it requires moving to another department."
