Basketball Legend will Be Mourned Throughout the Northwest

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) issued the following statement today on the death of former Gonzaga University Athletic Director and basketball coach Dan Fitzgerald. 

“It is with great sadness that I learned today of the passing of Coach Dan Fitzgerald.  Like so many Gonzaga fans, I held Coach Fitzgerald in the highest esteem for transforming Gonzaga’s basketball team into a superpower and leading the Bulldogs to their first NCAA Tournament in 1995.  My thoughts and prayers are with Darleen, Kelli, and Jim in their time of sorrow."
